Q: What do the Declarations of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions say about parking in Silverton?

A: Article IX:  No owners or residents of lots shall park vehicles of any type on any public street abutting any lot in the subdivision.  Each lot shall have adequate driveway or off street parking areas on which to park all vehicles operated by residents of such lot and parked in the subdivision.  All driveways and parking areas shall be paved or asphalt.

Please refrain from parking your personal vehicles in the street.  We are fully aware of the fact that occasional on street parking is necessary to accommodate visitors and overnight guests, but homeowners should not be parking their vehicles in the street on a regular basis.  If compliance with this covenant cannot be achieved through voluntary means, the Board and PPM will be forced to revisit the paid enforcement option.

If you do not currently have enough parking spaces for the vehicles that are used by residents of your property, please contact the Board or PPM, so that we can assist you with applying for ARC approval to add additional driveway parking spaces on your lot.

Additionally, the Silverton covenants prohibit the parking of commercial vehicles in the neighborhood.  This does not mean that trade people cannot be at your home, rather that commercial vehicles should not be parked or stored on an ongoing basis on any lot or street in Silverton.

Q: Does Silverton have a newsletter anymore?

A: The SilverBullet was Silverton's quarterly newsletter published and paid for by the SHOA for the residents to keep them up to date on neighborhood and area-wide activities and concerns.   However, with the website also providing this information in a more timely and cost-effective manner, we have stopped producing the hard copy of the SilverBullet.  Instead, our webmaster is maintaining an email distribution list.  She (Wendy Diard, also a resident) will send an email to the distribution list when new information has been posted to our website.   If you would like to get on this list, please send an email to Wendy at .
