Get to know Don Hamilton, our District Police Captain.

Captain Don Hamilton of the Cary Police Department has talked about a service that the Police Department provides to citizens called Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED). For an informative article about this service, go to the Cary Magazine link to CPTED Home Inspection.

The Cary Police Department (CPD) recently started Operation Hello Neighbor. CPD is looking for open garage doors and vehicles with valuables left in view and are sending these folks letters to their home address as a reminder to keep them safe by closing garage doors and moving valuables out of view in their vehicles. With the garage doors they try to hand deliver them first thing in the morning after they have been discovered open but if the resident is not at home, they mail it to them.

North Carolina's Official Sex Offender Website - The NC Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry is the official source of information from the North Carolina SBI. It lists registered and convicted sex offenders and predators in a specified area.

Family Watchdog Website - Lists registered and convicted sex offenders and predators in your neighborhood. Note: This is a commercial website and may not have the latest information. However, it is organized slightly differently and may be easier to use.

Silverton Neighborhood Watch Program is a community group that helps residents work together to keep our neighborhood safe and secure.
