Be a Part of the Social Committee

The Social Committee organizes social events for the neighborhood. Typically, the committee plans the following events each year: Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween Parade, Holiday Craft Party, Neighborhood Yard Sale. The Neighborhood Picnic, Bulls Outing and Bowling are usually events held every other year. Liz Adams, one of our SHOA board members, currently heads up this committee.

We are looking for individuals that would like to head up one or more of these individual events. Responsibilities would include, planning the details of the event, getting information to the Silver Bullet (and website) to publicize the event to the homeowners, taking RSVPs if necessary, and attending the event to make sure it runs smoothly. As a member of the social committee you would have input as to when events take place and what type of events are planned with YOUR homeowners dues.

HELP WANTED! Please consider volunteering for the ARC

ARC Committee Members Needed: Volunteers are needed to review Architectural Review Committee applications for exterior changes. Volunteers will work under the direction of the ARC Committee Chairman. This position usually requires 3 or fewer hours per month, but can take more than 5 hours during a busy month. Please send an e-mail to if you are interested in serving on this committee.

Wheels for Kids

The CAP Team (Citizen Assisting Police), in which several Silverton residents are members, is a volunteer group associated with the Cary Police Department. They work on rebuilding bicycles and getting them in shape to give to kids whose parents can’t afford them. If you have any size bicycle to donate (no matter what the condition), contact Al Slonim at phone: 362-9986 to arrange to have them picked up.
